Dark Horse is the first of a series of three using a large amount of rust and ink over texture.  This series started three years ago and continued to evolve over time.  Like a lot of my work, there are many layers of different paintings.

Ruby Kiss the second of the series of three using a large amount of rust and ink over texture. I experimented the glossy medium and ink to get a deep glistening ink.  At one time this was primarily gray gravel.

Kiss Me K is the second of the series of three using a large amount of rust and ink over texture. Pouring paint had become a more familiar tool when I completed this painting.  Someone said it reminded them of Klimt's The Kiss.  There came the name. Like a lot of my work, there are many layers of different paintings.

...and RED all over is the start of what my daughter calls, the "Planetarium" series.  As you can tell I kind of like knock,,,,knock jokes and the name is a result.  Once again I am using the wooden stopper of a wine barrel and pouring ink and acrylic paint.
