    -Paint poured onto canvas with a contemporary look using acrylic paint, ink, and rust.
    -Acrylic and Resin on Wooden panels using poured acrylic paint with a resin cover.

...Not a Banana is one of the first of a series on 24" wooden circles. These panels were to be used for wine barrel caps, but became rescued recycles.  Thanks to my friend Mike Kendal for capturing these for me.  I began pouring paint and learned of resin while in process.  I have since done a number of these in the series.

These "S" shaped panels are recycled cast off wooden panels.  In this case two panels are hung together to resemble a moving cobra.

Inspired by the Great Wave off Kanagawa also known as The Great Wave or simply The Wave:  a woodblock print by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai. It was published sometime between 1829 and 1833 in the late Edo period as the first print in Hokusai's series.
